New professional practices, new models: for whom? for what?
The issue of attracting and retaining professionals is on everyone’s mind. Groups are getting organized and starting to offer interesting HR solutions: VAE, long training courses, gateways… even the government is getting to grips with the subject by launching a communication campaign and a recruitment platform.
Skills upgrading and the progression of professionals towards new functions, or even new professions, is undoubtedly one of the keys to attracting and stimulating the desire to work with the elderly.
What if these new practices, these new apprenticeships, were to give rise to new models? Could the diversification of skills improve the day-to-day lives of professionals, and limit silo work? Would it encourage the creation of quality links that would enhance the value of all those involved, professionals and residents alike? Perhaps this is a new way of looking at care, a social and civic approach that has been little understood until now… and certainly very different from a strictly medical approach.
Changing our relationship with work also means changing our relationship with work, and in turn, our relationship with the elderly. Restoring meaning, creating links and reciprocity to enhance the value of all those involved – this is the theme we propose to explore in 2025 at the Age 3 congresses.
We hope to see many of you there!
